GÉLITRA - THE SOLUTION
THAT SIMPLIFIES
YOUR CONSTRUCTION SITE

Objectives

No one tolerates the supply disruptions and associated nuisances of urban construction sites anymore. However, looming over several decades are the massive construction projects in our cities aimed at building renovations, adapting to climate change, and embracing the revolutions in new uses and mobility.

Gélitra (which stands for Management – Delivery – Traffic) is a digital and spatial solution invented by Artelia to plan and streamline deliveries to construction sites. Gélitra prevents construction machinery from parking on public spaces while managing the flows of multiple concurrent projects before, during, and after deliveries. By preemptively and in real-time managing all project-related flows, Gélitra also offers environmental optimizations and reductions in disturbances for city residents and users.

Gélitra offers interactive and organized management of construction site supplies, allowing for advance planning, tracking converging flows to the site, managing equipment integration into traffic while ensuring site accessibility, and optimizing rotations and site spaces.

As a result, based on prior urban diagnostics, Gélitra facilitates supply management in line with route and construction site perimeter sensitivities: reduced noise, dust, road occupancy for residents; carbon footprint optimization through increased fluidity; savings in rotations and site occupations. Everyone benefits from the implementation of Gélitra, especially since multiple projects can be managed and coordinated using the same platform.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Gélitra was conceived and implemented for the entire Les Halles construction site in Paris, during which nearly 40,000 delivery flows were identified and managed on the platform.

Later developed to manage multiple projects simultaneously, Gélitra won the innovation competition of the Grand Paris Express (Société du Grand Paris), leading to a 6-month incubation period and numerous shared developments with municipalities and project owners.

In 2018, the solution received the Mobility Trophy awarded by Île-de-France Mobilités, marking the first cycle of intensive development.

Recently, Gélitra was enhanced in the context of the construction of the 2024 Olympics sites to incorporate precise environmental and social indicators into flow management. This allows for precise measurement and evaluation of the effects of improved construction supply management.

BENEFITS

Gélitra enables you to:

  • Predict construction flows and anticipate their impacts.
  • Combine multiple projects to think at the territorial scale.
  • Implement a potential off-site truck reception zone.
  • Manage and archive all deliveries through a collaborative platform.
  • Reduce truck waiting times, streamline traffic.
  • Provide real-time or deferred information about activities around the construction site.
  • Organize the collaborative construction of delivery schedules.
  • Automatically translate schedules into documentation and GPS coordinates.
  • Assist trucks with traffic agents, enhance driver working conditions.
  • Meet punctuality commitments and capitalize on them.
  • Objectively quantify the impact of optimized construction site management on the environment.
  • Objectively assess the impact of optimized construction site management on nearby urban environments and residents.
  • Objectively measure the savings from reduced disturbances and improved construction practices.
